The Department of Education arranges Primary Extension & Challenge (PEAC) programs designed to cater for students in Years 5 and 6 who are identified as gifted and talented from state-wide testing in Year 4. These courses are held off-site and coordinated by the Yaluma PEAC Centre. Their website is https://www.northmetropeac.wa.edu.au/.
Parents/carers of students who have been identified will be provided with details on how to enrol.
Blanket testing of all public school Year 4 students occurs each year with individual schools testing their own students. Parents who do not wish for their children to be tested can opt out by contacting their school in writing.
PEAC programs are managed at a regional level. Contact your local Education Regional Office to find out more.
Parents/carers of students who have been identified will be provided with details on how to enrol.

An Early Years’ Extension Programme is available to selected students in Years 1, 2 and 3. The school is fortunate to have available lessons in both clarinet and classical guitar provided by the Department of Education’s Instrumental Music School Service (IMSS). Students from Year 5 and 6 are chosen for these lessons following a rigorous identification programme in Year 4.
