Drop Bears

Drop Bears

Many students were searching for the endangered drop bear during recess and lunchtime on Friday 6 June. As you may know, these harmless, but interesting nocturnal animals only drop out of trees between 2 am and 3 am in the morning during the winter months. A couple of our younger students were quite sure that they had seen some drop bears in the trees near the end of the oval although these reports are unconfirmed at the present time.

Several of our older students went searching for more information on these rare animals in the library at lunchtime and they came across a rarely borrowed book called The Three Drop Bears! Needless to say this caused a great deal of interest!

We were lucky enough to be able to photograph one of these drop bears when it accidentally slipped and fell out of a tree after school. If anyone happens to see a drop bear, please let our chaplain Joel know as soon as possible.
